Saturday 25th April 2009, A selection of pictures taken prior to Tornado's run up the ECML from KX to Edinburgh on 1Z63 a private charter, also the UKRail tours charter to Lincoln from KX. Tornado made an unscheduled stop at Finsbury Park for pickups enabling a close up of the loco etc. The UKrail tour was scheduled for haulage by 70013, due to problems with the loco this was substituted by 57601 and 47786

A selection of pictures taken showing the ECS move from Stewarts Lane to Ferme Park with 67024 piloting 60163, a reversal over the Harringey Flyover in to Kings Cross and a final picture during its run north taken at Welwyn Garden City. I have also added a few pictures of caoching stock and other services on the ECML during the stock move.

A selection of images to show the activities to the north of Stevenage Station where the points between the Up fast to Up slow and Down slow to Down fast were being replaced over the weekends of 14/15th March 2009 and 21st/22nd March 2009. The images show the work in progress, the services that aided and also a selection of vehicles in use.

70013 Oliver Cromwell with 1Z78 'The Great Northern' 07.07 Cleethorpes to London Kings Cross. Images are from Kings Cross at the end of the Journey. 70013 was followed down the ECML by 47760, this engine removed the stock and 70013 to Ferme Park at 14.48.

Pictures taken during a visit to the National Railway Museum at Green Bay, WI on Saturday 2nd August 2008. The visit was primarily to view the A4, 60008. The photos are primarily of the loco and the Gresley coaches included in the exhibit. I have also included a few pictures of other exhibits and some 'aerial' views taken from the lookout tower in the Museum grounds.

The NVR celebrated the EE Class 40 anniversary by running a variety of services with MK1 stock including 2 TPO vehicles. All the railways TPO vehicles were on show either in service or as static exhibits at Wansford Station. D306 and 40145 were the Class 40's for the event

This collection was set up to document some of the changes to the GNER llivery prior to the end of the TOC. To me one of the best liveries currently on BR giving quite a professional and smart image to GNER. The photos were taken during two quick visits to Kings Cross on the morning of the 1st December and lunchtime of the 2nd December.

I have added some images taken on 4th and 5th Jan 08 showing the NXEC logo added to the white stripe.. also 91104 where the ER of GNER is beginning to reappear!

This collection shows a few picture of the 'Yellow Line' or 'Skokie Swift' of the CTA. The line was converted from Overhead to 3rd rail and the pictures reflect both operations. 3rd rail images taken 4.10.07.

Some pictures taken during the English Electric event. Trains viewed while visiting were all top and tailed, Type 1 (class 20) and Type 4 (Class 40) and an alternate service with Type 2 (class 31) and Type 3 (Class 37).. I spent a couple of enjoyable hours at the event.
